Saku, who knows she doesn’t stand out much, is looking for a boy named ‘Sakura’ who helped her before. It might be fate that she meets Sakura Haruki again after entering high school…?!

She really fell for him in 4 chapters bc he did the bare minimum? Sakisaka really peaked with Ao Haru Ride. This ain’t special and the main couple has no chemistry.
Wish Shojo manga would go back to slow build ups and slowburn. They see each other once and are deeply in love.
Terry
To be honest, from what I’ve seen, it’s more common for the narrator (in this case, the female protagonist) to fall first. That’s usually how it’s been for a lot of Sakisaka’s works. For Ao Haru Ride, it was on-and-off for a while, but still followed that loose format.
When it comes to the main characters’ chemistry, it looks like it’s supposed to come from the “goody-two-shoes” and “being nice” archetypes, which isn’t so strong right now; but maybe it’ll develop…?
I’m a sucker for the slow-burn as well, (why else would I be here?) but it’s clear that Sakisaka’s been trying new themes and storytelling as of late. (Maybe this won’t even be serializing for as long as the others, but that sounds unlikely.) So while those deviations from her norm haven’t sat as well with the readers (and for good reason), I suppose we’ll have to sit tight to see for sure where this all ends up.

Thanks a lot! I really like sakisaka!!

Oh gosh. Reading Bloom 9 makes me eager to read more. Haruki and Saku have a natural connection and you can feel the attraction they have to each other but now, you can see how the conflict is going to start. Misunderstandings, jealousy, pride. I hope it doesn’t continue because one of them doesn’t openly confess their feelings. For now, its too soon to tell on how they’ll handle the situation but I can already see major conflict from both parties even though right now it’s innocent.

Don’t really like FL, so suffer. Serves you right.
Terry
I tend to have the same sentiment for many FL’s as well (especially when difficulties seem self-induced), although this is usually done in a joking manner because it’s the only way to cope with chaotic plot developments, kekw.

I REALLY hope many other people also think that it’s highly likely that this “Sakura Ryosuke” is the Sakura Ryosuke from Omoi Omoware Furi Furare. I think there was one small part when the “Ryosuke” a.k.a Akari’s ex-bf is mentioned by his full name (like in the small corner) but I forgot what chapter it was. I can already imagine that “Sakura, Saku” will be another slow-burn despite Saku realizing that she might become more interested in Haruki quite early, but what I like the most at this point is the mindset that “I’ll be the one to decide if this feeling I have in me is love, or not”.

Anyone know when Bloom 10 will be out

I find Saku so relatable, like getting lonely when there’s distance, and then starting to think she might the only one feeling that way, I go through those mental somersaults all the time

Can’t wait for bloom 12~

Thank you for your amazing work, guys! Surely I’ll buy it when (and if) the manga gets licensed in my country.
Sakisaka-sensei is really my favourite mangaka. I loved Strobe Edge so much, and then came Ao Haru Ride, which has left a big mark in me, my absolute favourite shojo manga. But those really went along with very traditional romance storylines, which is not a demerit.
I guess since Omoi Omoware Furi Furare, Sakisaka-sensei has been trying new formulas. I liked Omoi Omoware Furi Furare very much, mostly because the main theme was friendship (that was also present in previous works) and maturing. But it didn’t leave the impact that Ao Haru Ride left in its readers, and a somewhat feeling that it lacked something. I guess it was the thunderstruck of Futaba and Kou’s love, we fell in love with their love. Com’on, we read shojo, we are thirst to see love.
And now, with Sakura, Saku, there’s a new storyline. I like how Saku’s thoughts don’t revolve exclusively around her love interest, she has purpose, she cares about her friends and is learning. And I also like how Haruki also progresses, he’s not the “difficult to get” and distant male lead, he shows that he cares and is interested in her, their interactions are really cute and I like how it didn’t take ages for them to realise their feelings (individually). But the characters are kinda… bland? They lack a little of depth, nuance, what makes them less relatable.
I guess that because of this, once there’s no direct conflict of personalities, sensei’s resorted to this formula of the friends falling in love with the same person, which will drag along chapters because of Saku’s strong moral sense. Quite risky, since we don’t even know Kotono enough for this to be a real dilemma for the readers, their friendship seems still recent and kinda weak (since until now Kotono didn’t show any problem in meddling with her friend’s love affair, is playing dumb and also taking advantage of Saku’s good will, so it’s only a problem in Saku’s end) and can become only a nuisance to the main couple’s development, which is a waste of character.
Just some thoughts of someone who is a sucker for shojo and has read way too much mangas to know that they’re quite predictable (not a problem). As the way things are, I’m enjoying it a lot. Just a little concerned haha. I’m really looking forward for the upcoming chapters!

Sigh, second lead syndrome, here we go again. But for real, I find Saku’s and Haruki’s interactions very bland, while those bits with Iryuu in chapter 12 were very nice T__T

Please continue translating this gem of a manga. Trully appreciate your team.

I’ll forever be supporting Sakisaka’s work! Love every single one of them ♡

I have a feeling that Saku and Kotono aren’t real friends, I mean, Saku couldn’t tell her about her crush on Haruki, and Kotono didn’t tell her whatever this secret is which I assume is that she likes Haruki too (but Sakisaka could be misleading us)
isabella
Now seeing what’s happening between sakura and her bfriend makes more curious about how will this turn out… I need more😭😭
